Sherlock’s smiles..

He rarely smiled. You were lucky to catch a genuine smile off of him, or a laugh. Seeing him smile always made your heart tingle. The cold, private figure that was Sherlock Holmes, smiling with a warm smile, the corners of his mouth turning up, his eyes sparkling. It was a rare opportunity, seeing him smile.
But when he did, he glowed. His expressionless face, defined and unlined, spread into a grin, his eyes scrunched up in the corners.
He went from being an unreachable statue, to a warm, comforting, and genuinely happy human being. 
When he smiled, the world seemed brighter.
